Teacher Apprentice

Join the Reno Phil’s RPA Kids (RPAK) Teacher Apprenticeship and help bring high-quality music education to elementary students across Washoe County. This hands-on, after-school program places apprentices alongside experienced teaching artists at local Title I schools, where they observe, assist, and gradually take on instructional responsibilities in small group violin and music literacy classes. The apprenticeship provides structured mentorship, real classroom experience, and the opportunity to grow into a lead teaching role. Apprentices participate in weekly sessions, support student learning, and contribute to performances and recitals, all while advancing the RPAK mission of making music education accessible to every child.
