Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, information generated by your use of the service, and information from trusted partners.

• Account details, profile information, and content you post.
• Usage data like pages viewed, features used, and interactions.
• Device and log data such as IP address, browser, and approximate location.
• Cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and improve the experience.

How We Use Information

• Provide, maintain, and improve MusiTer and its features.
• Personalize your feed, recommendations, and connections.
• Communicate with you about your account, security, and updates.
• Prevent fraud, abuse, and enforce our policies.

Email Communications

We send transactional emails required for account security and optional notification emails based on your preferences. We only send email to users who have registered on MusiTer or explicitly opted in. We do not purchase, rent, or share email lists.

Why emails are sent:

• Account security, verification, and password resets.
• Service updates, required notices, and important changes.
• Notifications you enable, such as new messages or invitations.
• Marketing or product announcements only when you have explicitly opted in during registration or in account settings.

Types of emails:

• Transactional emails
• Notification emails
• Marketing emails (opt-in only)

How to stop notifications: manage your email preferences in your account settings or use the unsubscribe link in non-essential emails. Transactional emails required for account security cannot be disabled.

Bounce, Complaint, and List Hygiene

We actively monitor email delivery quality and maintain clean sending lists to protect recipients and uphold deliverability standards:

• Hard bounces are automatically and permanently removed from our sending list. We do not retry delivery to addresses that have hard-bounced.
• Spam complaints received via ISP feedback loops result in immediate suppression of that address. We do not send further email to users who have marked our messages as spam.
• Soft bounces are tracked and addresses with persistent soft bounces are removed from active lists.

Abuse Reporting

If you receive an email from MusiTer that you believe is unsolicited, abusive, or in violation of this policy, please report it to trust@musiter.com. Include the original email (with full headers if possible) so we can investigate.

All abuse reports are reviewed promptly. Confirmed violations result in immediate account suspension and suppression of the reported address. Repeat or severe violations may be referred to relevant authorities or our email service providers.

Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate MusiTer:

• With service providers who help us run the platform (hosting, email delivery, analytics).
• With other users, consistent with your privacy settings.
• To comply with law, protect rights, or enforce our terms.

Data Retention

We retain information as long as necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and data, subject to applicable law.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices and Rights

You may access, update, or delete your profile information at any time. You can control visibility settings and manage notifications. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights such as data access or portability.

How Complaints Are Handled

If you have a privacy complaint, contact us at privacy@musiter.com. We will acknowledge your complaint, investigate, and respond in a timely manner. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may have the right to contact your local data protection authority.

Children

MusiTer is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
